SwiftCurrent Connect / Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (“PPCS”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the SwiftCurrent Connect mobile application (“the App”).SwiftCurrent Connect allows customers to connect and manage their home Wi-Fi network and related smart devices, providing insights into connectivity and network performance. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

Information You Provide

We may collect:

  • Account information: such as your name, email address, phone number, and SwiftCurrent Connect account number.
  • Login credentials: if you register or sign in to your SwiftCurrent Connect account through the App.
  • Feedback or support requests: when you contact us for assistance.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • App usage data: interactions with app features, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
  • Wi-Fi and network data: SSID, signal strength, connection status, IP/MAC addresses, and connected devices (for network management purposes only).

Location Data (if applicable)

If you enable location permissions, we may collect approximate location data to assist with device setup and connectivity troubleshooting. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the SwiftCurrent Connect App.
  • Authenticate your identity and maintain account security.
  • Help you monitor and manage your home Wi-Fi network.
  • Diagnose technical issues and ensure reliable performance.
  • Communicate updates, security alerts, or service-related notices.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

  1. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information only in these limited situations:

  • With service providers that help operate or support the App (e.g., cloud hosting or analytics providers) under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • With SwiftCurrent Connect systems for account authentication and customer service.
  • For legal reasons, if required to comply with laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.
  • In the event of a merger or acquisition, where your data may be transferred as part of the business assets.
  1. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide App services, comply with our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

  1. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. However, no security system is completely foolproof.

Data Deletion & Account Deletion Instructions

We provide easy ways for you to delete your account and associated data collected through the SwiftCurrent Connect app.

Delete your data in the app (preferred)

Open SwiftCurrent Connect.

Go to Menu Settings (Gear Icon) and Select Log Out. Follow Any Prompts.
What gets deleted: profile/account info (name, email, phone, SwiftCurrent Connect account number), in-app settings and preferences, device nicknames/labels, and app-collected diagnostics tied to your account.

Request deletion by web or email

If you cannot access the app:

Deletion of information is only valid for the App, this policy does not govern your account, billing information, or use of the SwiftCurrent service under your customer agreement.

Verification & timing

  • We verify requests to protect your account.
  • Upon verification, we deactivate app access immediately and begin deletion.
  • We aim to complete deletion of app-collected personal data within 30 days.

Connected devices & network data

Deleting your app account does not automatically factory-reset your router or third-party devices. If desired, please remove or reset devices separately in the app (e.g., Devices ▸ Remove) or via the device manufacturer’s instructions.

Third-party processors

We notify relevant service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics/crash reporting) to delete or anonymize account-linked data they process on our behalf, subject to their technical limitations and lawful retention requirements.

Reinstating service

If you delete your SwiftCurrent Connect app, you will continue to receive the SwiftCurrent Srvice and be responsible for all charges. You may re-enroll in the app at any time by creating a new app account.

  1. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt-out of analytics or diagnostic data collection.

You can manage many of these settings directly within the App or by contacting us (see Section 10).

  1. Children’s Privacy

SwiftCurrent Connect is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

  1. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party SDKs (e.g., for analytics or crash reporting). These providers may collect limited information as described in their respective privacy policies. We ensure they comply with Google Play data usage requirements.
